How they work:

Patches can be worn for 24 hours before needing to be replaced. Patches for energy and movement are generally not worn at night.
They are generally waterproof, but avoid putting them on where they will be exposed to sweat. Use smooth skin areas without hair and where there is not a lot of flexing/movement (joints), or scar tissue. A couple of places that often work well: the forearm, around the ankle (1-2 inches above the ankle bone), shoulder, on the spine where it joins with the neck. Experiment to find the best spots on your body.
