Founder Profile
Renee Scruitsky has over 30 years of counseling experience working with youth, families, couples, and individuals. Renee has her M.A. in Marriage and Family therapy from Northcentral University and received a B.A. in Social Work from Minot State University. She obtained a Certificate in Formational Prayer-Healing Care Ministries Dr. Terry Wardle (Ashland Theological Seminary), Certificate in Biblical Concepts in Counseling, level 2 Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), Level 1 Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Biblical DID Intensive Training-Lydia Discipleship Ministries, Certified Prepare/Enrich pre-marriage facilitator, and certificate in trauma-informed care training: Brain Synchronized Therapy (BST), and certificate in 5 point Acudetox.
Renee and Bill have been married for over 37 years, they have 2 adult children and 4 precious granddaughters. Their grandgirls are the greatest joys of their life.
Meet Our Team
We are a group of individuals based in Colorado Springs, CO. We have a broad range of experience in individual counseling, marriage and family therapy, play therapy, court advocate, animal assisted therapy, reintegration for court matters, prepare and enrich (pre-marital support), evidence-based couples therapy, healing prayer, biblical counseling, wholeness coaching, deliverance, and other forms of ministry. We have a passion for lives changed through the power of Jesus.
Our Board
The Healing Care House is overseen by a Board of Directors with broad range of experience across business, management, finance, military, and ministry. The Board of Directors works to ensure integrity, best business practices, alignment with our mission and God's Kingdom.
Meet KC Mantravadi, MA, MFTC, LPCC
I love to help families, couples, and individuals as they navigate conflict, communication difficulties, anxiety, and life-transitions. I recognize that we are the product of many influences including the families and cultures we come from, relationships we choose to enter, circumstances and choices we make or have been made for us, etc. When you begin to understand where you come from and who you are, it helps you move in the direction you want to go. It’s my pleasure to walk beside you on your journey as you move toward healing, wholeness, and happiness. You don’t have to do this alone…let’s walk this road together.
Meet Linda, Our Fundraiser
Linda Knight serves as our Fundraising Coordinator, bringing 33 years of experience in education. She holds a Master’s degree in Education with a concentration in Early Childhood Special Education, and has spent her career supporting children and families in school and community settings.
While newer to the nonprofit and counseling world, Linda’s lifelong dedication to helping families thrive drives her work in connecting donors and community partners to Soaring Wings: Healing Care House’s mission. She is passionate about expanding access to counseling and therapy services that strengthen relationships and promote emotional well-being.

What I am is someone who cares deeply about families, children, and helping people navigate really hard seasons with clarity, support, and practical tools.
Healing Coach: Restoring Your Inner Peace
Desarae Walker is a Healing Coach and owner of Rest for Your Souls where she comes alongside you in your healing journey to support, assist, and identify blocks that are preventing you from aligning spirit, soul, and body with the goal of returning to your original God-given blueprint. A healing coach helps individuals navigate and overcome challenges by guiding them through various healing modalities and empowering them to achieve their personal goals. Her coaching focuses on emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being by helping clients address trauma, pain points, unwanted behaviors/patterns, and limiting beliefs, while also helping to develop healthy coping mechanisms and capacity.
The modalities she uses go beyond the surface symptoms to get to the root. She is a certified Emotion Code® Practioner, Reflexologist, Life Coach, and Master Trained Rapid Eye Technician. Her personal and professional experience includes working with abuse survivors and the neurodivergent population for over 13 years.
